A milestone line will appear on your work log when an individual member has met specific criteria during a fixed period. This is calculated by the system based on the member's start date of their programme. The following is specific to NDPP and is shared to give you a brief overview of how this is done. Because it is calculated in the back end of the system, it is not possible for admin or senior health coaches to be able to check whether a person has met an individual milestone.

6 months - this will appear on the worklog as ‘week 26’. It is defined as 182 days after the start date.

9 months - this previously appeared on the worklog as ‘week 39’, and following changes to the inactivity schedule and other guidelines around coach absences and transferring members, this has now changed to 'week 36'. It is now defined as 252 days after the start date.

For both milestones, the system checks for a level of activity from the member in the 2 week period surrounding the defined date.

For ‘week 26’ this is from days 175-189, and for ‘week 36' this is from days 245-259.

In this 2 week period the member needs to make a manual goal registration (eg not steps pulled from apple health) or send a message to their coach or in the group and have an active schedule.

That means if they are inactive during the 2-week window that the system is checking, but later become active again, the milestone will not have been met. It is possible then for a member to meet the criteria for zero, one or two milestones during their time on the programme.

Due to coach absences, which do affect the length of the programme and prolong it, some people may meet the milestone criteria before you have delivered the 12th weekly intervention or the final bi-weekly intervention.
